Namtso
Lake,
literally heavenly lake, is situated in a mountainous
area about 60 km northwest of Damshung Country. Namtso
Lake extents 70 km from east to west and 30 km from
south to north, covering an area of 1,920 sq km and
altitude of 4748 m above sea level. It is biggest lake
in Tibet and the second biggest salt lake in china as
well as the highest like in the world, Namtso Lake is
one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, playing an
important role among Tibetans. Every sheep year in
Tibetan calendar, the Trekking Namtso Lake Festival is
held and countless pilgrims from far away visit the
lake to pay homage. |

Arrival
at Gongkar airport from KATHMANDU, transfer to Lhasa. |

Visit
of Potala, Drepung, Sera, Jokhang & Barkhor Market.. |

04 |
Drive
to Dhamshung from Lhasa for 170km, and prepare yaks
at
Dhamshung and overnight in hotel. |

Trek
from Dhamshung to Namtso Qu via the Largan La Pass
38km, camp. |

Trek
from Namtso Qu to Tashi Do Hermitage, camp. |

Whole
day stay at the Lake Namtso and may walk around the
island
by pilgrimage circuit surrounds the hill of Tashi Do (290 km). |

back to Lhasa 250km, driving 5 hrs, overnight at
hotel. |
