SIKKIM DZONGRI TREK

Day 2   Gangtok Sightseeing
Gangtok sight seeing,visit Rumtek Monastery 24 km 45 minutes drive, on the way back visit, Institute of Tibetology, Do-drul Chorten, visit Government Institute of Cottage Industry, Enchey Monastery, O/N hotel.
Day 3   Gangtok ~ Yuksam
Transfer to Yuksam (1780m) 133 km via Temi Tea estate, the only Tea Estate in Sikkim, Yuksam, the first capital of Sikkim and where the first king (Chogyal) was crowned in 1641 AD O/N hotel/camp.

Trek to Tshoka (3005m) 16 km 6/7 hrs walk O/N camp
Day 5 2 Tshoka ~ Dzongri
Trek to Dzongri (4030m) 9 km 4/5 hrs walk O/N camp
Day 6 3 Dzongri [Halt]
Dzongri explore around O/N camp
Day 7 4 Dzongri ~ Thansing
Trek to Thansing(3930m) 6 km 3/4 hrs walk O/N camp
Day 8 5 Thansing ~ Samiti lake
Trek to Samiti Lake (4250m) 4 km 3/4 hrs walk O/N camp
Day 9 6 Samiti Lake ~ Goechela ~ Thansing
Early morning excursion to Goechela (4,950m) 6 km and back to Thansing 6/7 hrs walk O/N camp.
Day 10 7 Thansing ~ Tshoka
Trek back to Tshoka 12 O/N camp
Day 11 8 Tshoka ~ Yuksam
Trek back to Yuksam O/N hotel/camp
Day 12   Yuksam ~ Khechopalri [Wishing Lake] ~ Pemayangste
Transfer to Pemayangtse(2085) via Kechipalri Lake 52 km 3 hrs drive O/N Hotel/Resort.
Day 13   Pemayantste ~ Kalimpong
After breakfast visit Pemayangtse Monastery, it is one of the most important and oldest Monastery in Sikkim belongs to the Nyingmapa sect of Buddhism, inside the Monastery there is a wooden structure depicting the Maha Guru`s heavenly palace a masterpiece created by Late Dungzin Rinpoche, walk to Sangacholing Monastery, transfer to Kalimpong 96 km 3/4 hrs drive. Day 14   Kalimpong Sightseeing
Kalimpong (1243) visit some flower nurseries, Durpin Monastery O/N hotel
Day 15   Kalimpong ~ Bagdogra/Nepal Border [Departure]
Early morning transfer to Bagdogra.
