Trekking In Nepal

 

MAKALU TREK  -  Duration: 20 Days    Grade: Moderate/Strenuous    Type: Camping  Max Height: 5000m MBC

This is one of the most remote and unfrequented trekking areas of Nepal. This region is the place of Makalu Barun National Park which was established in 1992 as Nepal's eighth national park. This region is subject to all the rules relating entry fee, fees for video cameras and restriction on firewood. The nearest airstrip in this region is Tumlingtar.

 Itinerary of Makalu Trek In Detail
 

Days 01 :  Fly Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and trek to Khandbari. Overnight in camp.

Days 02 :  Trek Khandbari to Fururu. 

Days 03 :  Trek Fururu to Num. 

Days 04 :  Trek Num to Sinduwa. 

Days 05 :  Trek Sinduwa to Tashigaon. 

Days 06 :  Trek Tashigaon to Kauma. 

Days 07 :  Trek Kauma to Mumbuk. 

Days 08 :  Trek Mumbuk to Neh Kharka. 

Days 09 :  Trek Neh Kharka to Serson.

Days 10 :  Trek Serson to Makalu Base Camp.

Days 11 :  Rest day in Makalu B.C. Explore the Base Camp areas. 

Days 12 :  Base Camp to Neh Kharka. 

Days 13 :  Trek Neh Kharka to Mum buk. 

Days 14 :  Trek Mumbuk to Kauma. 

Days 15 :  Trek Kauma to Tashigaon.

Days 16 :  Trek Tashigaon to Balung. 

Days 17 :  Trek Balung to Phukuwa. 

Days 18 :  Trek Phukuwa to Bumling. 

Days 19 :  Trek Bumling to Tunlingtar.

Days 20 :  Fly Tumlingtar to Biratnagar and then to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel.
