Kathmandu to Paro Fly |

02 |
Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Drugyal Dzong. From here
the peak of Chomolhari also known as Mountain of the
Goddess " can be viewed clearly. On the way visit a
typical Bhutanese farmhouse. |

03 |
Paro - Excursion to Taksang
After breakfast full day hiking to Taktsang
Monastery, the tiger's Nest.This magical Monastery
clings to a vertical granite cliff 4000 ft. above
the valley floor. |

04 |
Paro - Jele Dzong
Distance – 6-7 Kms. Alt. 8500ft. Today is a short
trekking day. The trail ascends gradually till the
camp. If weather permits Paro valley can be seen
with snowcapped mountains behind the valley. |

05 |
Jele Dzong - Jangchulakha -
River side camp.
Distance - 10 Kms. (Alt. - 9500ft). You begin with
about an hour and half's climb. The trail takes you
through thick alpine forests and Rhododendron trees.
You may see Yak herders around your camp site. |

06 |
Jangchulakha - Jimilangtso
Distance 11 Kms. (Alt. 11000ft). The trail follows
the ridge. On a clear day beautiful views of the
mountains and the valley. Camp near lake Jimilangtso.
If lucky you might enjoy trouts for dinner. |

07 |
Jimilangtso - Simkota
Distance - 11 Kms. (Alt. 11500ft). The trail leads
through dwarf Rhododendron trees and then passes by
lake Janetso. You might sight camps of Yak herders
enroute. Camp near Simkota lake. |

08 |
Simkota - Phajoding
Distance - 10 Kms. (Alt. 9500ft). The trail
continues with a gradual climb. If weather permits
beautiful views of Mount "Gangkhar Punsum" can be
seen. Then slowly descend till Phajoding. Overnight
in the trekking shelter or camp in tents. |

09 |
Phojoding - Thimphu
Distance – 7-8 Kms. (Alt. 8050ft). The trek to
Thimphu is all the way downhill through an area
forested with Blue pine. Taking it leisurely you
reach Hotel Motithang in about 3 hours for a hot
shower and a nice lunch. Evening at leisure. |

10 |
Thimphu Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to visit Tashichho Dzong.Also
visit the handicraft emporium where Bhutanese
textiles and other arts are displayed. Visit the
painting and woodcraft schools where traditional art
and painting are still kept alive. Visit the
Memorial Chorten, the National Library and Simtokha
Dzong. |

11 |
Thimphu to Excursion to
Punakha/Wangdi
After breakfast drive to Punakha and Wangdi
Valley.Punakha is the former capital of Bhutan from
Thimphu and Wangdi is the 16 kms away from Punakha. |

12 |
Thimphu to Paro to
Kathmandu Fly
Drive to Paro and then fly back to Kathmandu. |
