01 |
Kathmandu to Paro Fly
Fly to Paro from Kathmandu. During the flight, one
will experience the breathtaking views of Mount
Everest, Kanchenjung and other famous Himalayan
peaks including the sacred Mount Chomolhari and
Jitchu Drive to Thimphu. |

02 |
Thimphu Sightseeing
Sightseeing at Memorial Chorten, National Library,
Nuns Monastery, Changlimithang Monastery and
Indigenous Hospital. Lunch at Druk Hotel. After
lunch at leisure. At 5 P.M. you will visit the
Tashichdzong (Thimphu Dzong). |

Thimphu to Punakha Drive
After an early breakfast drive to Punakha and
Wangdiphodrang .On the way visit the Dochula
Pass.After lunch visit the Punakha Dzong, the former
winter capital and present administrative seat of
the district. Visit Wangdiphodrang Dzong, which is
13 kms away from Punakha. |

Punakha to Trongsa
After an early breakfast drive to Trongsa. |

05 |
Trongsa to Bumthang
Visit Trongsa Dzong, the ancestral home of the royal
family and its watchtower.It is presently the
administrative seat of the district and the home of
the monastic school.After lunch drive to reach
Bumthang. |

Bumthang Sightseeing
Sightseeing around Bumthang.Visit the historical
Jakar Dzong. Also visit several ancient and sacred
Monasteries such as the Jambay Ihakhang, Kurjey
Lhakhang, Kencho sum Lhakhang Tamshing and Pema
Samba Lhakhangs.visit member Tso " The flaming Lake
" which is considered one of the important
pilgrimage spots. A trip to the Bumthang Swiss Farm
is also interesting. |

Bumthang to Mongar
After breakfast gear up for a fantastic drive to
Mongar.The journey is long and crosses Thrumshing La
which is the highest pass in Bhutan.Mongar is the
district headquarters but hardly more than a transit
town. It is also the first town built on a slope
instead of the usual valley. |

Mongar to Trashigang
Visit the Mongar Dzong.Mongar Dzong is a new Dzong,
completed recently.It was built in the 19th
century,restored in 1953 and again in 1990 after
being gutted by fire.After lunch drive to Trashigang. |

09 |
Trashigang Sightseeing
Visit the famous Trashigang Dzong.The Dzong commands
a remarkable view of the surrounding countryside.
Built in 1659 AD,it is practically impregnable ,
protected on three sides by the river and ravines ,
and from behind by the mountains .In the afternoon
take a leisurely stroll through Trashigang town. |

Day excursion to Khaling
After breakfast drive to Khaling.Enroute visit
Sherubtse, Bhutan's only college and the sacred
Zangtokpelri Monastery.At Khaling, visit the blind
school and the traditional weaving center and return
to Trashigang in the evening. |

Drive to Rangjung
After breakfast drive to Rangjung. |

Day excursion to Trashi Yangtse
After breakfast drive to Trashigang. |

Day excursion to Trashi Yangtse
Trashi Yangtse lies on the North - West of
Trashigang.The Trashi Yangtse Dzong was built around
1656 AD in commemoration of a Drukpa victory and
renovated in 1976.In Trashi Yangtse, you can visit
the popular Chorten Kora, one of few stupas
constructed in Nepali (Sherpa) style. Also visit the
traditional woodcraft workshop where Bhutanese bowls
and other wooden items are made. |

Mongar to Bumthang or Samdrup Jongkhar to Gauhati
Drive to Bumthang. |

Bumthang to Thimphu
Drive to Thimphu. Enroute visit the picturesque view
of Bhutan. |

Thimphu to Paro
After breakfast drive to Paro.At Paro visit the
National Museum the watchtower for the Rinpung Dzong
, which was converted into he National Museum in
1968.In afternoon drive to Drugyal Dzong.The name
means " The Victorious Bhutanese". Also visit the
Paro Rinpung Dzong.The Dzong was built in 1645 AD. |

Excursion to Taktsang Monastery
Trek to Taksang Monastery from Paro Town.The name
Taksang means " Tiger's nest". The monastery is
perched on a rocky ledge with a sheer drop of nearly
800 mtrs. |

Paro to International Airport
Early morning drive to Paro airport and fly back
Kathmandu. |
